Data & Document Management Puts Information at Your Fingertips

D2Xchange Presents Session at AIIM International

D2Xchange President Nancy J. Sauer and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) Business Analyst Brian Mueller will present a workshop on using document scanning to drive end-user acceptance of paperless enterprise content management at the AIIM International Exposition and Conference, Tuesday, March 31, in Philadelphia, PA.

The presentation takes an in-depth look at an 18-month project during which D2Xchange helped CHFA scan, index and upload more than 8 million documents into CHFA’s OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) system. In the final phase, D2Xchange helped transition the process to CHFA’s team so they could internally manage future scanning and indexing projects.

CHFA had purchased its ECM system with the goal of increasing efficiency and improving customer service by reducing the volume of paper flowing through its work processes. Working onsite at CHFA’s office in downtown Denver, D2Xchange designed and implemented a process to capture, index and upload more than 93% of the organizations historic loan files. As information was electronically captured and became more readily accessible across the organization, additional users embraced the ECM solution and benefits surfaced within and across departments.

“CHFA reports that more than 80% of their employees are using the OnBase ECM system, thereby reducing paper volume, streamlining work processes and responding more quickly to internal and external information request,” Sauer said. “CHFA has also reduced expenses associated with storing hundreds of boxes of hardcopy documents. In addition, they are finding that they can complete audits faster and with fewer questions from the auditors.”
